Assorted Thoughts

Just some random things I’ve been thinking about lately:

A deep dive into Tarantino’s oeuvre. I went to see Once Upon A Time in Hollywood last night and it was fantastic; it made me want to (re)watch all of his movies.

How much of an introvert am I really? Until six-ish years ago, I never thought of myself as an introvert (or as an extrovert). Then a coworker gave me that label and I believed in it, even though any introversion was situational and relative. Introversion and extroversion are part of a spectrum rather than absolutes, and I’ve been realizing lately that I’m more of an extrovert. And also that maybe these labels aren’t particularly useful.

Should I spend a month in New York or two weeks in Europe this fall? I know, #firstworldproblems.

Attachment styles. Why is this topic suddenly everywhere? Is it the new enneagram? Trend cycles must have been so much longer before the internet. Relatedly, why do people still list their Myers-Briggs types in dating profiles, and will they also start to include their enneagram numbers or attachment styles? (Inclusion of Myers-Briggs type triggers an automatic left-swipe for me; does this mean I don’t want to date someone who’s self-aware?)
